On 6 March 2026, as part of the celebrations around International Women’s Day, the ECROS project participated—via our colleagues at TU Dublin—in the first Research Symposium of the Women+ in Early Career Research Group, held at TU Dublin’s City Campus.
The event brought together PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career lecturers from universities across the Dublin region. The Women+ in Early Career Research Group is a newly established cross-institutional network supporting researchers at the beginning of their academic careers. Its members work across a wide range of disciplines, from Computer Science and Immunology to Sociology and Information Science.
The symposium aimed to showcase early-career research, encourage cross-disciplinary dialogue, and strengthen networks among women and gender-diverse researchers across institutions.
During the event, ECROS presented its work to this emerging research community, outlining how early-career researchers can engage with the project, benefit from its outputs, and contribute to its ongoing research on academic careers and research culture.
We were delighted to connect with this vibrant new network and look forward to future collaboration and continued engagement with early-career researchers across institutions.
